We’re looking for an original short film script that excites us, something with a strong voice, memorable characters and the potential to grow into a film we can actively develop.

This is not a traditional screenplay competition built around laurels or certificates. We want to find one script we truly believe in, work closely with its writer and do our best to move the project towards production.

The selected writer will be offered a time-limited option agreement. We will then develop the screenplay together and seek suitable production funding. If financing is secured and the film moves forward, the writer will receive an agreed fee under a separate writer agreement.

All genres are welcome, and you do not need previous credits, representation or professional experience. We care most about finding a story with a clear point of view and something that stays with us after we finish reading.

The open call is available to UK residents aged 18 and over.

 

Scripts must be written in English and be no longer than 15 pages, excluding the title page.
